Diamond leveling plate (coarse grid)
This is a diamond sharpening plate for sharpening stones, used to maintain a consistently flat surface.
It features a Tsuboman Atoma coarse-grit (#140) diamond attached to a custom-made aluminum base. The aluminum base offers superior flatness compared to existing bases, allowing for consistent shape correction of any sharpening stone. Its increased thickness makes it highly resistant to bending, and its weight facilitates easy surface correction. This is an essential item for correcting the surface of artificial sharpening stones with a grit of #3000 or lower. The coarse grit provides strong abrasive power, making it ideal for those who want quick correction or those who want to increase the sharpening power by roughening the stone's surface.
While the Atoma diamond is attached to only one side of the aluminum base, it can also be attached replacement to the other side. This allows for use on both sides if the diamond deteriorates with long-term use or if a different plate is desired.
Size: 210 x 75 x 15 mm
Grit: #140
Abrasive: Electroplated Diamond
*While this product boasts extremely high flatness accuracy, it does not guarantee perfect flatness.
*It can be used for sharpening, but please note that sharpening carbon steel or other steels that rust may cause rust and accelerate deterioration.
*Although diamond is used, the abrasive material of the whetstone will inevitably be worn down, reducing the sharpening power and causing deterioration over time.
*The aluminum base may deform if subjected to impact or heat.
